After seeing his dam "Havala" at the 2003 Nationals,
where she was 3rd place 5-6 year old and learning that she was
4th place 4 year old the year prior and 4th place 2 year old in
2000, I was very impressed. As we talked, Rebecca and Sara said
that they had a buck kid at home, that was sired by "Whinchezter"
I just had to have this kid! We couldn't be more pleased with
him and are thankful to Rebecca, Sara and Michael Benisch for
allowing him to come and live with us! He is long, level and extremely
dairy and deep bodied, with a wonderful "typey" head
and very correct feet and legs. We are also proud to announce
that he qualified for the 2003 ADGA Sire Development Program with
an ETA of 95 and 40 for Production. Hondo has been very stingy
with doe kids. The few kids that he has shared with us have been
very nice and we're noticing increased production in his small
sampling of daughters. We have a dairy that reserved all of his
daughters in 2007 and he's being leased out for breeding for the
2007 season but we expect to use him heavily in 2008 and hope
to retain at least a couple of doe kids for ourselves.
